I enhance the jaw by 10mm, and add two flanges so the clamp can stand upright on itself in both horizontal and vertical positions. The narrow gap of the original design remains, but I fill it with a reinforced structure that strengthens the clamp while staying hidden beneath the surface. You can also use other improved remix parts such as blu3lit3's Pads with Cut Pattern or CSlawek's Hand-Screw Clamp - Long Threads.
