DIY Hand Sanitizer Holder Made with 3D Printed PLA and Repurposed IKEA Lamp Base. To create this hand sanitizer stand, you will need a 3D printer, some PLA filament, and an old IKEA lamp base. The lamp used in this project is the IKEA Piantana Da Terra, which can be found on Manomano for around €40 or Leroy Merlin for approximately €50. To start, print out two identical parts using your 3D printer: a rectangular base with a small hole in it and a smaller rectangular piece that will hold the hand sanitizer bottle. The design of these parts is key to ensuring that they fit snugly together and provide a stable base for the hand sanitizer holder. Once you have printed both parts, attach them together using a strong adhesive such as super glue or epoxy resin. Make sure that the small hole in the base part lines up with the top of the smaller piece so that it can be easily filled with hand sanitizer. Next, take your old IKEA lamp base and disassemble it by removing all of the screws holding it together. Carefully remove any remaining parts such as the light socket or harp, making sure not to damage them in the process. Now it's time to attach the 3D printed base to the lamp base. Use a strong adhesive to secure the two parts together, starting at the center and working your way outward. Make sure that everything is aligned properly before moving on to the next step. Finally, insert the hand sanitizer bottle into the small hole in the 3D printed base and fill it with hand sanitizer. Replace any remaining parts such as the light socket or harp, making sure they are securely attached to the lamp base. Your DIY hand sanitizer holder is now complete and ready for use! The PLA material used in this project makes it easy to print and assemble, while the repurposed IKEA lamp base adds a touch of industrial chic.
