Hand Powered Mechanical Canadian Coin Sorter

Hand Powered Mechanical Canadian Coin Sorter

So far, my largest CAD project has been this coin sorter, designed specifically for sorting Canadian coins. It's not perfect – it tends to jam up on me – but I've found that a bit of tinkering can easily fix the issue and make the process of sorting loose change significantly faster. This sorter sorts coins ranging from pennies all the way up to toonies (though it won't handle 50-cent coins). To assemble this project, you'll need M3 bolts; if you're not careful, you may end up with holes that are a bit rough around the edges, so be sure to clear them out using a drill – a 2.5mm or 3.2mm bit should do the trick nicely. The design itself was inspired by Klopp Coin Sorters.
