An uncomplicated but effective protection for the blade on your hand plane. Add a rubberband(s) at the almost closed side and you have a simple to use protection for your blade when you put it aside or in your toolbox. **Make it a good fit for your planer:** 1 - Measure the width of your hand plane (for example 52 mm) 2 - Take the stl with the closest size indication at the end of the name. In the example it is the 50mm version 3 - Divide the measured size (52 mm) by the models size (50mm) so in example it will be 52/50 = 1.04 (or 104 %) 4 - Download and import the right model (step 2) in your slicer and scale the X-axis with the calculated number (in example 1.04 or 104%) 5 - Print and use Except for the inner size, all the models are the same.
