Hands are indispensable to create realistic characters. They require a lot of attention to detail to ensure they don't add unwanted vertex counts to the rest of the character model. One solution is to develop base models like this one, which can be attached quickly to other character models, saving valuable time. A painted texture has been added to showcase how well it holds up under texturing, but a functional texture remains missing. To fix this, I may revisit and update the hand with more detailed textures. This hand was created using numerous reference images of human hands from various sources. * Images used for research: Hand anatomy, review of hand models, my own hands, Google images.
