Hand Drive Gears
thingiverse
This is a remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2419169 I printed the Planet and Sun gears provided in the Thing Files in water washable resin and they did not mesh correctly with the Spider/Ring Gears which were printed using 1.75mm PLA. Additionally, the gear ratios of the provided gears did not add up according to the formula R = S + 2P. I calculated that the planet gear should have 18 teeth instead of 17. If you have printed all the files from the original thing, you only need to download PlanetRemix.stl and substitute it for PlanetGearLEFT.stl and PlanetGearRIGHT.stl as needed. You may print as many copies of PlanetRemix.stl or SunRemix.stl as needed for replacements. GearRemix.stl is a set of 1 Sun Gear and 4 Planet Gears (3, plus a spare) that can conveniently be printed on a desktop resin printer. These pieces also have a chamfered bottom face to reduce distortions inherent in the SLA process and to make them easier to remove from the print plate/bed. You will not need to download planet18.stl unless you intend to modify GearRemix.scad. In order to view an modify GearRemix.scad you will need to download planet18.stl and the SunGearLEFT.stl from the original thing. The planet18.stl was created with the Gears Library for OpenSCAD located at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1604369 using the following parameters: planetengetriebe(modul=1.2, zahnzahl_sonne=47, zahnzahl_planet=18, anzahl_planeten=3, breite=10, randbreite=4.55, bohrung=3.5, eingriffswinkel=25, schraegungswinkel=0, zusammen_gebaut=false, optimiert=false);
