Hand Drill

Hand Drill

thingiverse

A miniature hand drill was needed to hold small 0.6/0.8/1.0mm drill bits for cleaning holes, but it was difficult to find at an affordable price. As a temporary solution, the user modeled and printed this device, with room for improvement and potential parametric changes later on. The drill bit holder must be printed flat to avoid breakage due to weak layer boundaries in FDM printers like Up! or MakerBot. Support structures for threads are easily removable, and the pieces feature an M10 thread, requiring fine settings. Tested on an Up!, but not yet on a MakerBot.
