Hand Cycle Tracked Wheelchair

Here is my 3.0 concept for a Handicapped Tracked Wheelchair. This version uses a hand crank drive system with differential brake steering. The seat assembly slides on tubes and rollers out of the back of the vehicle to help the user get in and out without having to crawl over the track assemblies. The ten 12" bicycle rims are attached to a simple and light weight adjustable torsion bar suspension system. The hand crank system drives the two front cogs via a standard bicycle 9-speed derailleur system that turns a simple differential from a tricycle. Steering the vehicle is as easy as holding down the left or right brake lever while cranking on the handles. The system is designed with an additional sprocket on the differential system for easy upgrading to electric assist.
