The empty tubes of these 6 hand creams represent the amount of hand cream that their owners used up at the beginning of the pandemic. These hand creams were Christmas presents bought by a friend in Hong Kong. Hand creams serve to moisturize our hands, especially during the winter months when skin tends to dry out. During the pandemic, people found themselves using too many hand cleaning products such as alcohol and disinfectants daily. Excessive use led to dryness of the hands, serving as a poignant reminder that this is a unique and temporary period in human history. Hand cream not only moisturizes our hands but also represents people's pursuit of a higher standard of living. The smooth texture and pleasant fragrance of hand cream serve to remind us that we once lived in a society that was convenient and comfortable.
