RemixChallenge This is my submission for the remix challenge, and it's a remix of the dremelfuge by cathalgarvey. This hand crank version takes your hand motion and turns it into a super fast centrifuge that could be used for various things without needing a high power Dremel or other such devices. It prints in roughly 5 hours total and uses a 1:6 gear ratio to take your hand motion and turn it into a super fast centrifuge. You can use included caps if you choose, but they're not necessary - they just make it easier to spin the gears at high speeds. Print Settings Printer Brand: Tinkertine Studio Printer: Ditto + Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 300 microns is what I used Infill: 5 percent is plenty Notes: The files are designed with fast printing in mind, so don't worry too much. Each separate part (not the caps) should take about an hour to print. Post-Printing Light sanding on the gear shafts is nice, and if you chose to print the caps, they may need some light sanding to fit depending on your printer. Make sure you clean any strings of plastic in the gears so it can spin freely. How I Designed This I used 123D Design and took the dremelfuge model and cut a square hole in it. Then, I built the mechanism around that by making the gears first and then the base to hold all of the components together. Next, I took the models and did light clean up in mesh mixer.
