Spoon handle carved from ivory depicts a centaur playing the lyre, unearthed in Toulouse during 1988 excavations and dated to either the 1st or 2nd century. Height: 9.5 cm Inventory number D 98 2 1 https://tools.wmflabs.org/reasonator/?&q=24986393 Three-dimensional digitization of the spoon handle was achieved through microCT X-ray scanning by the CNRS CIRIMAT laboratory in Toulouse and IMA Solutions SARL, with an accuracy of 27 micrometers. The three-dimensional reconstruction process involved polygonizing the data and calculating ambient occlusion effects.
