Hamster Wheel with 20 cm Diameter: A Quiet and Durable Solution for Your Furry Friends. When using a double set of bearings, this wheel operates extremely quietly. At first glance, its size might seem excessive, but it's essential to prevent your pets from damaging it. I have a Russian Dwarf Hamster that uses it without any issues, despite its small size. The assembly consists of 8 parts, which require printing multiple units: three Part-1 units, six Part-2 units, two each of Part-3 and Part-4, two Part-5 units, two Part-6 units, and four Part-8 units. The wheel is divided into fragments to accommodate various printers. All parts have a design that allows for easy assembly. In addition to the printed components, you'll need four bearings with 13 mm outside diameter, 6 mm inside diameter, and 5 mm width. These are affordable; I purchased ten for 1.2 euros. You'll also require four metric 6 nuts, four metric 6 washers, and a 120 mm piece of metric 6 threaded rod. The cost of these unprinted parts should be approximately 1.5 euros. To assemble the wheel, you may use glue (I used two-component epoxy). Finally, to regulate the speed, tighten or loosen the nuts as needed. If you're interested in making improvements or exploring different sizes, feel free to comment on this design or send me an email. P.S. There's a difference between the images and the STL file: I added wooden slats to the original design after my hamster skidded on it when it was smooth. The updated 3D model is now available.
