Hamster Wheel (No bearings required)
thingiverse
The bearings are sliding bearings, but due to the PLA's low coefficient of sliding friction, they barely wear out and don't produce a squeaking noise at all. To assemble this project, you'll need some glue to hold the pieces together, although it won't be necessary for strength. I designed this wheel for my large hamster, with an inner diameter of 200mm, so feel free to scale it down as needed. Be sure your printer can handle the largest part, which measures 222mm long. For optimal stiffness and safety, use PLA instead of ABS, since the hamster might chew on the plastic if given the chance. Update: I've uploaded a new part that prevents the wheel's spokes from colliding with the frame and bringing the wheel to a halt. Please refer to my attached pictures for correct printing orientation and installation instructions.
