Hammr 2.0
thingiverse
This design outshines my previous hammer in several key areas, boasting enhanced strength and accommodating a TPU insert for added durability. Comprising three primary components, it features a handle with a tapered end, a head with a complementary tapered cavity, and a removable tapping insert made from TPU that can be 3D printed with ease. Several variations have been included, each offering distinct design choices: some feature no text at all, while others boast a plain head without an insert. Additionally, there's a version of the head equipped with built-in support features. Although this added structure is relatively minimal, its presence helps mitigate potential sags in the handle, ultimately promoting a seamless fit. Please note that printing time for this model may increase by approximately 15 minutes. To achieve similar results without the built-in support, users can employ Cura's line support feature at a setting of 3%. I designed this hammer specifically for tapping on the back of a scraper to efficiently remove printed parts from my 3D printer bed.
