Hammock suspension end-caps for Aluminium Antenna 4 foot segments
thingiverse
A user on Hammockforums.net posted a DIY portable hammock stand crafted from surplus military antenna masts. To fabricate the custom endcaps for this project, I designed them using Delrin on my CNC machine. However, to reduce costs and simplify the build process, utilizing my 3D printer proved more efficient. For thread attachment through the endcaps, a 12-inch endless loop made of amsteel with a diameter of 7/64ths is employed. Print Settings Printer: Geeetech Delta Mini GS2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Infill: 25% Notes: Two STL files are included, one for each end of the mast. I print these items in ABS without experiencing any issues. Even if warping occurs and the bottom section lifts during printing, the item will still function properly as long as threading is accomplished correctly.
