Hammock Hook: A Phone Holder
thingiverse
Lounging in a hammock is hands-down the best way to take it easy. However, there is an issue that the hammock-user has: It is tiring to hold your phone when you are cocooned in a hammock. Our solution is to 3D print a Hook that attaches to a ridgeline strung above a hammock. ### Additional Screw The phone-holding device requires a screw that is 1/4" such as a GoPro thumbscrew. ### Future Improvements * The Hammock Hook can hold a Pixel 2 when the phone is not in a case. The triangular notches on "FRAME.obj" and "FRAME UP.obj" could be expanded to accomodate more phones. Files of the type ".obj" should be able to be opened in Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, and Solidworks. * The device could also hold more phones or larger devices if the screw was made longer. The file "SCREW_EXTENSION.obj" is a section of the screw from "FRAME.stl". ### Attributions The Hammock Hook was created by me and 3 other group members, Jimmy-Lee Brown, Teddy Dano, Ajay Pandya. Our design was created for a first-year engineering challenge at NC State University. ### Remix Notes Thanks to https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4694593 for the phone holder design. # Youtube Video https://youtu.be/XnjyPmEeE1Q <img src="https://img.youtube.com/vi/XnjyPmEeE1Q/maxresdefault.jpg" alt="MarineGEO circle logo"/>
