Human: Hammerstone. XFP-104. Sanak Island, Alaska. XFP104-42 XFP-104 is a late prehistoric site on Salmon Bay, Sanak Island, featuring 20th-century cabins. A single radiocarbon date, along with site features, indicates that this village dates back to approximately 1460-1680 CE. These artifacts were scanned using either a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i, and processed in Geomagic or Polyworks software. Four to eight photos were used for texture creation in Geomagic Wrap. The Sanak Island artifacts are the result of research conducted under grants NSF 0326584, NSF 0508101, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner served as Principal Investigator. Original digitizing work was done at the IVL at Id. St. Univ., while subsequent processing took place at Global Digital Heritage. Fieldwork and analysis were conducted with permission from the Pauloff Harbor Tribe and in collaboration with the Sanak Corporation.
