Hammerli 480 Front Sight Mount

This is an alternative to the plastic front sight mount on Hammerli 480 pellet pistols. Remove the metal sight blade from the original one and secure it in place with a dab of superglue or something similar. I created this because I couldn't unscrew the muzzle brake on my Hammerli, so I had to cut the original sight off to remove the tank (I needed to replace a seal). It turned out that the brake is threaded, but held in place with a strong threadlocking compound. I was able to remove it by heating it with a blowtorch; however, this might have damaged the sight mount if I hadn't already cut it off. Anyway, I never liked the original sight mount. You will likely need to drill out the bore of the sight mount to get it to fit over the barrel. It should fit tightly, as there isn't a notch or set screw to prevent it from rotating. Put the sight mount onto the barrel and tighten the brass muzzle brake back into place.
