I modified my ZMR250 so that it can carry a 2-axis gimbal. You need to change the bottom and top plates, adding two spacers in place of arms and everything else. Nearly any 2-axis gimbal will work with this copter, but I designed one specifically for my low-cost yet surprisingly good gimbal solution: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1246436. Build instructions are as follows: Print 2 x bottom plates (3.5 mm thickness). Print a top plate (2.5 mm thickness). Choose some gimbal or use "my" gimbal (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1246436). Use ZMR250 carbon arms or print any ZMR250 compatible arms. Print two more spacers and use self-tapping screws. The copter requires 10 spacers; the ZMR250 has eight. Use 5-inch propellers; six will not fit. I designed this copter for five-inch propellers only for multiple reasons: There is a smaller difference between front and rear motors, resulting in better balance and handling (six would require wider front arms). Six-inch propellers often produce more vibrations, leading to "jello" in videos. According to my observations, they frequently result in unstable footage. The total weight with gimbal, camera, and 4S is about 850 grams. With a 4S battery and 5045BN propellers, it hovers at around half throttle and flies almost like a normal ZMR250. My build setup includes: Multistar 2206 2150kv motors Gemfan 5045BN propellers BlueSeries 12A ESCs CC3D running Cleanflight PZ0420 FPV camera TS5828 600mW VTX Nano-tech 4S 2200mAh 25-50 C Some sample footage can be viewed at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roRp9UtGVRY (not all stabilized shots in this video are taken by this copter, but a significant portion were). I hope you find my design useful and enjoy flying with it. Please share your builds! Print settings for optimal results include: Rafts don't matter Supports: Doesn't matter Infill: 50% Use ABS plastic for printing.
