hamiltonian cycle on truncated icosahedron

cults3d

Hamiltonian cycle refers to a closed loop that traverses every vertex of a truncated icosahedron exactly once. I developed an algorithm to identify Hamiltonian paths and cycles within rectangular shapes, which can be easily adapted to work with polyhedra. The resulting output is a visually appealing three-dimensional object, showcasing the intricate path taken by the Hamiltonian cycle on the surface of the polyhedron. Two versions are provided: one featuring a large diameter curve, and another with a smaller diameter. The accompanying PovRay images demonstrate how the truncated icosahedron is positioned relative to the Hamiltonian cycle.
