Hamilton Beach 32100, Sealing Dry Box Lid
thingiverse
This is a simple lid for the Hamilton Beach model 32100 food dehydrator, allowing it to seal better, for use as a filament dry box. Not intended to be used while the dehydrator is powered on -- this replaces the original injection molded clear lid, once the dehydrator is finished running, helping to seal the dry filament inside. The desiccant recharges every time the dehydrator runs, then keeps drying the inside of the chamber, after the hot air turns off. Other items I'm using to convert this dehydrator into a filament dry box: - 4" lazy susan turntable bearing ($5): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B6GFNC5R/ - 40g rechargeable desiccant packs ($12/3pk): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SVKB3P7/ - Acurite 00613 digital hygrometer ($10): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013BKDO8/ - Hot melt glue to hold together 3-4 trays, with the inner grid/mesh removed. - Spare pneumatic fitting intended for standard 4mm PTFE tubing. The lid is provided in four quadrants, allowing common 200mm bed printers to print this. Prints upside down, then glues together with super glue, at the raised quadrant edges. Added an alternate fourth lid quadrant, that has an opening sized to accept an Acurite 00613 digital hygrometer, which can be hot glued or epoxied in, for an air tight seal to the lid.
