I Designed a Replacement Leg Clamp for My Hama Star 62 Tripod The hama star 62 tripod is designed with precision and reliability in mind. However, like any mechanical device, it's not immune to wear and tear. In my case, the leg clamp on my tripod broke, rendering it useless. I decided to take matters into my own hands and design a replacement. Removing the Broken Clamp To remove the broken clamp, I simply needed to hit the shaft of the original part a few times with a hammer. This loosened the grip enough for me to carefully pry it out. The new clamp was then glued in its place, ensuring a secure and stable connection. Designing the Replacement Clamp I used OnShape, a powerful 3D CAD software, to design my replacement leg clamp. The document is publicly available, allowing anyone to make a copy and experiment with different designs. The process was straightforward, and I was able to create a functional part that perfectly fits my tripod's needs. The new leg clamp has been working flawlessly, and I'm glad I took the initiative to design a replacement rather than replacing the entire tripod. It's a great example of how creativity and problem-solving can lead to innovative solutions.
