Little and easy supports for your vhf moxon antenna prototype make it easy as pie! It's super lightweight and strong enough to be taken on the go, so you can show it off at your next big gathering! Instructions Ahead! Pieces to print: 1 x Rear support - Easy peasy! 1 x Front support - Same thing! 2 x Side supports - A breeze! The clamps you need: I used 2 big and 2 small. Front and rear supports are cut from the same cloth; the rear one's got a hole for bolt head. My printing setup: PLA filament is the way to go! 0,20 layer thickness - Thin enough! 2 shells wall - Two times better! 20% infill - It'll be solid! 55°C bed with airspray is the ticket! 200°C filament gets the job done! 50mm/s speeds - It's a speedster! Fans active to cool down the pieces during print make it possible! I used supports for the rear support (bolt head hole) and voilà! Other parts you'll need: Some M3 bolts or grub screws to keep things in place - Secure! 1 bolt M3 to fix the front support on the boom - Boom! 1 bolt M3 to fix the rear support on the boom - That's right! Some M3 bolts to fix the clamps on front and rear supports make sense. The boom should be made of plastic or wood... Boom width is 15 mm. Aluminium bars for the elements are 6mm diameter - Nice size! They're stronger than tubes when you fold them with hammer and vise, and they won't break! For electrical links I handsawed a thin fissure in the front elements - Quick fix! And secured shield and inner wire inside each of them with pliers - Good grip! Soldering isn't needed this way. Smart move!
