Ham Radio Mounting Block
thingiverse
I'm looking to swap out a wooden block that's been holding my Yaesu FT-857d in place within my 2014 Ram 1500 without having to punch holes into the dashboard. This block has mounting points for securing the radio faceplate, and it slots neatly into the card holder located in the console well. So far, so good – it seems to be working pretty smoothly. I designed the part using Fusion 360, sliced it with Slic3r, and printed it on a Prusa i3 mk3 standing upright at 190 mm tall. There's always room for improvement, and I might make some adjustments to the design down the line, but it seems to be doing its job just fine right now.
