Ham Radio customizable mounting bracket
thingiverse
We designed this for the Icom ID-5100 radio, but you can easily customize it for most ham radios with similar shapes. To do this, measure the radio dimensions and the distance between screw holes using a ruler or calipers. With 3mm walls, prints made from ABS are surprisingly strong so far. For optimal results, we recommend these screws: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F5COC42. Feel free to customize this design for your specific radio needs. Check out http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1656282 for a customized version with photos. UPDATE: We're using a feature that requires the latest OpenSCAD, so you'll need to download and run it in the newest customizer to unlock full customization options. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 25% Notes: Infill density is less critical than perimeter thickness for this model. To ensure stability, we recommend printing with solid sides by using either 100% infill or very thick perimeter shells.
