Ham House Pineapple

Ham House Pineapple

thingiverse

One of the many ornamental "Pineapples" crowning the walls surrounding Ham House in Richmond, London, built in 1610, have been installed by Wilbraham Tollemache, the 6th Earl of Dysart, in 1799 and are actually crafted from a stone-like pottery. Scanned with 123D Catch, and partially reconstructed using MOI and Meshmixer since the top could not be seen. These pineapples have been printed at 40mm high for my mother's dolls house garden, but they would also look good printed large as an interior decoration. They can also be printed in metallic filament for the garden, which would oxidize nicely over time. For more information on Ham House, visit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ham_House or if you're in London, consider visiting the house in person at http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/ham-house/. Instructions This design does require supports, however, a STL file with supports has been provided for your convenience. Feel free to add your own supports instead. This design can be printed from 40mm tall to 200mm tall with layer heights ranging from 0.05 to 0.25 without any issues.
