Halo Reach Data Storage Module

Halo Reach Data Storage Module

Here is a modeled version of the Data Storage Module from the game Halo:Reach. This project was designed to improve my skills in modeling via Solidworks and once completed, I wanted to share the final model with others. My plan is to use this on my own cosplay from Halo:Reach. The model includes the full module as well as a top portion and two bottom sections. The bottom two sections have been hollowed out to accommodate lighting or battery packs inside. I've also made it possible for the center to hold a piece of clear acrylic tubing or rolled up plastic, allowing for customization. The studs in the middle that support the bars around the acrylic can be replaced with 1/8" rod, which could be wooden dowels painted silver or sourced from Home Depot or Lowes. This model was created using source images and concept drawings from Halo:Reach. I do not take credit for the original design of the part; instead, I modeled it in Solidworks to create a 3D printable version that I can use myself and share with others on the 405th and here. Thank you, and good luck with your printing projects! If you decide to make this model, please share how it went and what modifications you made. I would love to see your creation!
