Just started learning mesh modeling this summer and thought practicing with a fun project would be a great way to improve. I had a blast printing this model and decided to share it with others. Keep in mind that while I tried to preserve the major features of the original, my model lacks some details. Also, I made the lower half of the gun removable to make printing easier. Print Settings Printer: Delta Style Printer Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 10% Notes: This model was created in 3ds Max using generic units and I didn't pay attention to scale, so it's likely to appear huge when you import the file into your slicing software of choice. For my print, I set imported units to inches and scaled the model to 0.05. I set infill to 10% to save print time and supports to 80% solid with a 0.3 mm gap between the support and part. You'll notice there are two separate magazine files - the "Tight Fit" version should be used when scaling up larger, such as if you wanted to print it so that it fits your hand. Post-Printing Printing Orientation I already removed supports in this image, but it does show the orientation I used for printing. Assembled The final model turned out pretty well, considering all things, but I still had a fair amount of cleanup to do on the bottom edges of both pieces. Part of this is probably due to my home brew printer's limitations, so if someone does a better job, I'd love to see it!
