I sliced the defective haloplelican STL file, a known troublemaker on the internet. It was ruined, unable to slice or print. I let out a sigh - this one would have been tough even if it wasn't a tricky print. Breaking down the STL into two halves, I discovered a half with severe errors and a half that was working fine. I chose to post the correct half along with its mirror image - and they worked seamlessly! Interestingly, even in the original file used for remixed prints, the window section showed clear signs of being badly crafted. What a complicated mess - it refused to resolve itself and wouldn't be easy to repair.
