Halo 4 Master Chief Gauntlet/Forearm Armor
thingiverse
Made changes to a game model to make it printable. Working on the rest of the armor, which includes arm pieces that will fit on an adult figure around 6 feet tall or possibly up to 6'4". These designs should be suitable for use with makerbot/flashforge printers, which are approximately 8"x5.5"x6" in size. Viewed big_red_frog's helmet and linked it because the work was well done and it would be redundant for me to recreate something similar. My intention is not to redo something that already exists but to create a fully printable Halo armor set available to everyone, which I believe I'm doing effectively so far. Any suggestions on how to adjust scaling or implement fasteners are appreciated since I'm still relatively new at this type of project. Follow these instructions to build the models: I will attach 1/4" pegs (or pieces cut to size) with super glue. The seams should be secured by applying a tiny bit of super glue as well, followed by using wall plaster or putty to seal them up. Wooden dowels are affordable and a better option than 3D printing pegs, which may easily crack or snap. After it dries completely, sand down the edges to remove any bumps or imperfections before applying paint for an excellent finish that looks as good as true cosplay armor but with much less trouble involved. Important note: to save on material costs, flip parts 2 and 3 upside down when printing them.
