HALO FOR ALL

These files will print on a standard Ender 3 - all models are less than 220 mm

**UPDATE: April 18th, 2020

Reworked the model again, split everything again and placed instructions. Everything previous is saved in an archive folder!**

UPDATE: June 3rd, 2019

Added '200mmCubeSplit.zip' file that contains smaller blocks of the bigger piece. For example, the head part of the hammer is split into 12 correctly sized parts. Now I can print this on my Ender 3! :)

I love halo, grew up on it; modeled this as a gift for my ~~girlfriend~~ wife (and me)!

This is a model made in Maya LT. There is a Maya LT file for editing as well as FBX.

This model is to scale, my target height was 203.7cm. https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/universe/weapons/gravity-hammer

Instructions

I have included a smaller 4 part version if you want to try and print the hammer smaller

These files are all in millimeters, but Maya was being weird with it's units, so please make sure your the file "Halo3_GravHam_Cylinder_1.75inD_72inL.obj" is 1828.8mm tall.

There are A TON OF FILES, print them all, all 116 of them. There are some files that need to be printed multiple times, those models end with "X" then the amount. There are also a bunch of files that are mirrored, those files end with either "_L" or "_R" for left and right respectively.

You can see in the files there is a Cylinder folder, these are not intended to be printed, but rather used for reference. The units in the file are in millimeters but i designed this for working with tubes in inches.

Core handle, 1.75 inches diameter and 72 inches long

Blade support, 1 inch diameter and 30 inches long

Arm support, 0.5 inch diameter and 12 inches long

FIND A TUBE(S) FOR SUPPORT and have yourself a real gosh darn Grifball time! (ball not included)!

Notes

I saw there were a lot of models online that were rips directly from the Halo 3 game files. Those files are awesome, but since they ripped a game engine model, they lost detail that would have been baked into the normal map. There should be plenty of detail now in the base geometry.

Things to note are the model's edges; this model is comprised of polygons, so the curved faces are going to show some stepping. To counter that, the model has a ton of geometry, and has been combined.

Good luck and have fun!

Special Thanks Bungie for Halo 3

*Thank you to Augmentedhuman013 for inspiring me to continue!
Category: Props
