Hallowing Cyclops Skull

Hallowing Cyclops Skull

Just in time for Halloween! I got my hands on the Adafruit Hallowing in the Adabox 009, and I was eager to dive in. I printed out the cases designed by adafruit, but unfortunately, they fell short of expectations. The hole in the No Lens cover is too tiny, leaving half the screen smothered beneath plastic. On the other hand, the hole in the Lens cover is way too big (or perhaps the lens itself is oversized). To make matters worse, both covers feature a misaligned hole that fails to center on the screen - it's anyone's guess why this happened! Undeterred, I used the Adafruit "Lens" cover and remixed the cyclops skull from I-see-3D. This time, I glued it on top with the lens securely attached, plus a cutout for the light sensor to boot. To add some extra flair, I gave this PLA print its first acrylic paint job - a new experience for me! And, just in case, I sealed it up tight. Happy Halloween! Note: I'm also rocking the Battery Case by DoctorWhich, but I'm still trying to figure out why the lens doesn't fit snugly with the "Lens" cover when using this battery case. Guess that's a mystery for another day!
