Halloween mask. Red demon.
prusaprinters
This was fun. I designed the "fitment" mask, first, and when I found the time, sculpted the "demon" on top of it. Both are printed in PLA. Both need a bit of sanding to remove plastic on the inside as the interface with the support material is quite abrasive. ESPECIALLY with the fitment mask.Feel free to use the base mask to develop your own masks. If you DO decide to use this to create your own, I recommend cutting it in half in Blender, and using the mirror modifier to replace the now missing half, rather than trying to sculpt both sides by hand and preserve bi-lateral symmetry by eye. You can always go back and remove symmetry later, such as I did with the horns and fangs. On the fitment mask, the nasal ridge and other modifiers are necessary, if you're going to print it as a mesh, as I did, although not to the degree I used them. Without, you'll have rough edges around your eyes, mouth, nostrils, and edge, and may not be able to tell where the infill pattern stops and the holes start. Processed using Prusa-Slicer 2.4.0a1. As always, when working with the (base mask) .blend file, save, commit all the boolean modifiers, and then delete anything you don't want to end up in the .stl before converting it, then restoring back to the last save point.
