Halloween Crow (Animated)
thingiverse
Please take a look at the video of this in action! This is my second-generation Halloween crow, now with an animated head and blinking eyes. It consists of five pieces designed to be sliced and printed in vase mode. The assembled crow measures about 18 inches (45cm) long. The largest section needed for printing is approximately 7.25 inches (19cm) tall and 5 inches (13cm) wide. I printed this in black PLA and used hot glue to attach the feet, while a short section attaches to the tail allowing access to the electronics/battery compartment. A press-fit connection allows the tail to fit onto the body. The controller is an Arduino Uno. The eye holes were created with a drill, and the LEDs are pressed into place. The Arduino code to run this project is attached as CrowServo.ino. I just completed this project today (Oct 31st, 2016), and more details will be added later.
