Hall Endstop Mounts for Delta Printer

<p>These are straight-forward endstop holders for Sainsmart Hall endstop sensors. I figured is was time to take them off the shelf and design holders to adapt them to a 2040 aluminum extrusion format for a 1M Delta Printer (<a href="https://github.com/electronlove/DeltaSpasm">https://github.com/electronlove/DeltaSpasm</a>).</p> <p>The carriage is a remix from Norwegian Creations magnetic ball joint carriage with the addition of a mounting point for magnets (<a href="https://www.norwegiancreations.com/2018/01/building-a-large-kossel-delta-printer-pt-7-design-files/">https://www.norwegiancreations.com/2018/01/building-a-large-kossel-delta-printer-pt-7-design-files/</a>)</p> <ul> <li>Hall endstop holders can be printed at 35% infill (4 bottom and top layers). The carriages should be printed at 100% infill for strength.</li> <li>I used a 5/16" drill bit (~ 8mm) to clear out the hole to glue (two-part epoxy) magnets in place. Magnets were purchased from Home Depot (0.3" x 0.11" neodymium magnets) but the width was a bit larger than 0.3" in diameter.</li> <li>M3 screws all around for holding the endstops in place. I used a 5/16" bit to clean out the hole before gluing the magnets in place with 2-part high-temp epoxy (I had some 5 min epoxy) in the fridge that had sat for a couple of years that was used to glue a bed thermistor in place. </p></div> </p></p> Category: 3D Printers
