Halfling Cavalry

When the High Queen calls, the militiamen of the halfling communities will answer. Among the best trained of those militias are the cavalry, what halflings call "riders". A typical rider will have been in the saddle from a very young age (albeit most likely on a farm nag pulling a plow!). Riders are both expert scouts (quieter and more stealthy than their human companions) and also great melee fighters. Although comfortable with lance, crossbow, and sword, the primary weapon of the riders is the javelin. Each rider will have several on his trusted pony.
