Horn Coral, scientifically termed Rugose coral (Coelenterata/Rugosa), originated from Devonian Ontario. This unique type of coral met its extinction during the Paleozoic era's end. It was Dr. Franek Hasiuk in his GeoFabLab, Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences, Iowa State University, who scanned this specimen using the MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner, set on "medium".
