Assignment 3 requires students to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of course materials by creating a well-researched and thoughtfully argued written analysis of a selected topic. The assignment is designed to evaluate the student's ability to think critically, analyze complex information, and present their findings in a clear and concise manner. To begin, students will select one of the topics listed below and conduct in-depth research on the subject matter. They will then write a 5-page paper that explores the topic from multiple angles, providing evidence to support their arguments and counterarguments. The paper should be well-organized, with a logical flow of ideas and a clear thesis statement. Students are expected to use proper citation techniques throughout their paper, crediting all sources used in the research process. A list of references will also be included at the end of the paper, formatted according to the chosen citation style (MLA or APA). Grading criteria for Assignment 3 include: * Depth and breadth of knowledge on the selected topic * Clarity and coherence of writing * Effective use of evidence to support arguments * Organization and logical flow of ideas * Adherence to proper citation techniques Submission guidelines are as follows: students will submit their paper via the course learning management system, in a format that is easily accessible by the instructor.
