Building Your Own Dodecahedron: A Mathematical Challenge Disassembling and reassembling objects is an essential part of mathematical exploration. It's exciting to see how components come together in mathematically precise ways. To construct a dodecahedron, begin with a regular pentagon featuring a specific side length. Next, extrude at a taper angle of atan(2) - 90 degrees for one-twelfth of the dodecahedron. Repeat this process five times, mirroring each operation to create half of the dodecahedron. Two halves are needed to complete the whole structure. There are alternative methods to achieve this. Have fun exploring different approaches!
