Halbach Array

Halbach Array

I designed this Halbach Array Ring in Solid Works to hold 1/4 cube magnets and it turned out perfectly. The magnetic film shows that the field was generated exactly as planned. I opted not to machine one out of aluminum, wanting to test the design without breaking the bank. Unfortunately, I can't provide detailed settings because my friend printed it on his Ultimaker 2 over a year ago, before I got my MK2. However, he used ColorFab XT and a resolution setting of .06. Printer Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .06 Infill: I believe it was set to 20% Post-Printing: There may have been some minor filing involved, but I'm not entirely sure. Design Software: Solid Works.
