The Tejas, born from India's ambitious LCA program in the 80s, was designed to replace the aged MiG-21s. The project progressed through various stages, developing all necessary technologies that led to the realization of its first prototype in the 2000s and its maiden test flight in 2001. After a series of rigorous tests and modifications, the first production variant of the Tejas Mk1 was ready in 2005 and officially entered service with the IAF in 2015. Plans are underway to equip eight squadrons with the Tejas Mk1, while a more advanced MK2 variant is currently under study. A scale model of the Tejas was printed at 1:100 using a 0.2mm nozzle, but it remains sliceable with a 0.4mm nozzle and can be scaled down to 1:300. The print was achieved on an Ender3 with 0.12mm layers, as demonstrated in the image taken from PrusaSlicer 2.0. For added detail, I opted for a two-part design that retains most of the tail and nose features; a gentle touch with sandpaper effectively conceals the glued joint, making it nearly invisible once painted.
