Hairdryer to space heater conversion
thingiverse
I wanted a heater for my 3D printer enclosure that was compact enough not to get in the way, but I found all the simple options too big. So, I decided to repurpose this hairdryer instead: https://www.amazon.com/Conair-1875-Turbo-Dryer-Black/dp/B019FNCXLQ/. It probably still works like it did years ago when mine was new. The design might have changed a bit since then. I used M3 inserts to secure the screws in this project: https://www.mcmaster.com/#94180a333/. There's already a hole at the bottom for temperature sensors: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DQQPR2A/. If you don't want to use heat-set inserts, you can resize the holes and use self-tapping screws instead.
