I recently stumbled upon a clever hack that involved using a hair straightener to fuse together strands of filament, and I thought it was pure brilliance. So, I rushed out to buy a straightener and quickly discovered that I didn't have enough hands to tackle this task effectively. To overcome this limitation, I took the initiative and designed a custom mount for my straightener, which has proven to be an absolute game-changer. The mount is securely attached to the edge of my 3D printer table, allowing me to heat up the straightener with one hand while using both hands to join the filament – it's incredibly efficient!
