Technically, if your foam board cutting skills are sharp, you can create a single piece of foam board in a trapezoid shape with a gutter cut out at the folds, eliminating the need for brackets altogether. Personally, I don't use hair spray to keep my bed sheets together; instead, I rely on a glue stick applied to a cold bed.
