Hair Clip Box
thingiverse
This is a versatile box designed for storing hair clips at home, but its possibilities extend far beyond that use case - it could easily serve as office storage for various items. File 'Hair Clip Box Top.stl' proves to be quite tricky when printed in PLA, requiring extreme effort to remove from the print bed once completed. This issue can be mitigated by using a flexible material, making it easier to handle. A better option is File 'Hair Clip Box Top V3.stl', which performs well with standard PLA filament. Although lacking a full locking tab like its counterpart, this design boasts natural flexibility and works seamlessly in most printing scenarios. The print details are as follows: the bottom of the box was printed using Sweet Violet PLA from MakerGeek, while the top was crafted with Ah! Natural (Clear) PLA from the same manufacturer. This particular combination allows for a 3-layer-thick top that is both flexible and semi-transparent, offering a unique aesthetic. However, if the top's durability is found wanting under repeated on/off cycles, the design may be remixed to incorporate a thicker top layer.
