Hafted Knife. XCB-105-3229. 400 BCE-100 CE XCB-105 Adamagan, a massive village located in western Alaska Peninsula, stands at the head of Morzhovoi Bay. This ancient settlement was home to multiple occupations and is now known as the largest village in the Arctic with an estimated 1000 residents. The village has limited occupations dated from 2200-1700 BCE, 1000-600 BCE, and 900-1100 CE. The Western Alaska Peninsula artifacts are a direct result of research conducted under grants NSF 9630072, NSF 9814086, NSF 9996372, NSF 9996415, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner led the investigation as Principal Investigator. These artifacts were scanned using either a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i. They were then processed in Geomagic or Polyworks software, utilizing 2-8 photos for texture in Geomagic Wrap. The original digitizing work was done at the IVL at Id St Univ, while subsequent processing and publication were completed at Global Digital Heritage.
