Hafted Knife XCB-105-3141, dating back to 400 BCE-100 CE. The Adamagan site, located at the head of Morzhovoi Bay on the western Alaska Peninsula, is a thriving village with diverse occupations. At its peak, it was the largest Arctic settlement, boasting an estimated population of 1000 people. The site also features occupations dated 2200-1700 BCE, 1000-600 BCE, and 900-1100 CE. The Western Alaska Peninsula artifacts are the result of extensive research conducted under grants NSF 9630072, NSF 9814086, NSF 9996372, NSF 9996415, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner led this effort as Principal Investigator. These artifacts were meticulously scanned using either a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i. Subsequent processing was done in Geomagic or Polyworks, utilizing 2-8 photos for texture in Geomagic Wrap. Original digitization took place at the IVL at Idah State University, with subsequent processing and publication completed by Global Digital Heritage.
