Hafted Knife. XCB-105-1541. 400 BCE - 100 CE Adamagan, located at the head of Morzhovoi Bay on Alaska's western peninsula, is a major village with multiple occupations. During its occupation from 400 BCE to 100 CE, it was the Arctic's largest village, home to approximately one thousand people. Additionally, limited occupations have been dated to 2200-1700 BCE, 1000-600 BCE, and 900-1100 CE. The Western Alaska Peninsula artifacts are presented as a result of research conducted under grants NSF 9630072, NSF 9814086, NSF 9996372, NSF 9996415, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner led the investigation as Principal Investigator. These artifacts were scanned using either a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i. Processing was done in Geomagic or Polyworks, with 2-8 photos utilized for texture in Geomagic Wrap. Original digitization occurred at the IVL on Idaho State University's campus, while subsequent processing and publication were completed at Global Digital Heritage.
