Hafted Drill. XCB-105-1699, Circa 400 BCE-100 CE\nXCB-105 Adamagan (Aleut for Place of Walrus Hunters) occupies the head of Morzhovoi Bay, Western Alaska Peninsula. This massive village is a hub of multiple occupations. When occupied from 400 BCE to 100 CE, it was the largest Arctic village with an estimated population of 1,000 people. Archaeologists have also discovered limited occupations dating back to 2200-1700 BCE, 1000-600 BCE, and 900-1100 CE.\nThe Western Alaska Peninsula artifacts are presented as a result of research conducted under grants NSF 9630072, NSF 9814086, NSF 9996372, NSF 9996415, NSF 1139266, NSF 1321411. H. Maschner serves as the Principal Investigator. These artifacts were scanned using either a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i. The scanning process involved Geomagic and Polyworks software. Two to eight photos were used for texture in Geomagic Wrap. Original digitizing work was done at the IVL at Idaho State University, while subsequent processing and publication took place at Global Digital Heritage.
