Haenau - Belts
thingiverse
This is the final adjustment of the system,\nUnfortunately, it still needs a bit more clarity,\nBut I assure you, it functions perfectly.\nThe OpenSCAD model was just an early prototype,\nand we're currently perfecting the assembly process.\nKeep in mind that actually guiding the belts through might take a couple attempts to get right.\nFirst, make sure at least two pegs are secured to the silver rod, stopping the dolly from sliding back and forth.\nPush both motors as far towards the back as possible without obstructing the screw heads.\nThen,\nThe setup begins with a loosely fitted back left port on the dolly,\nmaking certain the teeth face away from you.\nNext, thread the belt through the slider, over the top pulley towards you,\nafter that, around the left motor pulley.\nThe belt continues all the way to the back left pulley, then through the slider at an unusual angle,\nafter which it rounds the back right.\nThrough the slider and tie off on the front upper corner of the dolly.\nDo not attempt to tighten the belt yet.\nAttach the second belt,\nand carefully balance the tension by gradually moving the tie points inward.\nFinally, pull motors toward the front.\nNote that if there's a significant difference in tension, the slider might become out of square.\nThe belts only need to be firm but not excessively taut.
